Notes

  • Remove: This action permanently removes a bank account from the system. Once a bank account is deleted, all transactions associated with that account are also removed, and the user will not be able to see any past transaction history linked to it.

  • Disable: This action allows a bank account to remain in the system but stops it from actively syncing data. By disabling an account, the user can still view historical account information and transactions without the system prompting them to re-login or continue syncing data. This is suitable for users who have switched to another bank account but still need access to view their previous account's data for reference or record-keeping.

FAQs

  1. When do I need to deactivate and reconnect bank accounts?

    • If the synced date is not today or you find there are missing transactions in this bank account.

    • Account Closure - The client no longer uses this account. You can deactivate it in TW. The synced transactions are kept in QBO.

    • Duplicate Accounts - You connect the same account twice.

  2. If I remove the old bank account and link the new one, does TW still have the historical categorization records?

Yes. When a new account is connected, click on AUTO-CATEGORIZE. TW will show you the historical records.

  3. Whether multiple bank accounts can be mapped to a single category after reconnecting a disabled account.

When a disabled bank account is reconnected, the system recognizes it as the same account and retains all previous categorizations and suggestions.
